Preference is given to those committed to primary health care, with financial need, prior experience with underserved populations, and longer Illinois residency if all else is equal.

  • Description: The Medical Student Scholarship Program helps increase the number of primary care physicians in Illinois communities that lack adequate providers in family medicine, general internal medicine, general pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology.
